Altered Version of A CRYSTAL CLEAR DESTINY My Altered Version of the Episode "A Crystal Clear Destiny" Note: Before I "rewrite" this episode, I'd like to say that the original version of "A Crystal Clear Destiny" was a very emotional episode. In fact, this is one of my favorite ones, since it included everything to make a good episode; passion, romance, suspense, and action. I really like the original TV one, but the reason why I'm writing the altered version, is because I just wanted to know what the story would've been like if somethings were changed around. I'm not going to rewrite the whole episode; only the last part where the suspense is starting to build, with the help of the internet. Sailormoon was automatically surprised and shocked after Darien was finished transforming into Tuxedo Mask. Tuxedo Mask noticed that she was looking at him with the same crushing look when she looked at Andrew. Sailormoon, still staring, thought, "Wola! Cranky old Darien my dream hunk! This is going to take some adjusting to!" Tuxedo Mask inside wanted to apologize for everything he has ever said or done to Serena, especially now finding out she's his only friend in battle; Sailormoon! But all he could say at the moment was, "You should get out of here, Sailormoon. This fight doesn't concern you anymore." He smiled. Sailormoon wanted to help, surprisingly, and responded, "Of course it concerns me, ya' kidding!" She took a grip on his hand and added, "If we stick together, we can beat them. Let's do it!" Tuxedo Mask still smiled as he explained, "Sailormoon, I've got to earn those crystals." There was so much that he wanted Serena to understand. Sailormoon blushed and replied, "I know, so you could find your princess." Tuxedo Mask wanted to confess all his true feelings to her, but again all he could say was, "Yeah." Out in the gloom, Zoicite sneered, "So Tuxedo Mask, you still interested in fighting for the rainbow crystals, or not?" Tuxedo Mask confidently answered, "You know I am! BUT, you've got to guarantee a fair fight and Sailormoon's safety first!" Sailormoon was still in shock. Tuxedo Mask, now Darien , would actually want to protect me ? Is this really the real Darien I use to know? thought Sailormoon. She stood at about 10 feet behind Tuxedo Mask as he stepped forward. Zoicite lied, "Of course, I wouldn't have it any other way." She smiled an evil smile. Tuxedo Mask thought she was looking at him, but no; she was looking at Sailormoon! She cornered her in her eye was she secretly used her hand to control an ice-spear, secretly aiming at Sailormoon. "Well, come on then, haha, let's get it over with!" challenged Zoicite. She aimed the ice-spear closer at Sailormoon. She smiled even more evilly... "You're on," agreed Tuxedo Mask. He stepped forward, holding his staff, with a bit of nervousness, but determination. Suddenly, Zoicite aimed the spear for the final time. She let out a slight gasp of joy as she shot the spear. Tuxedo Mask yelled as he whirled around, aware of the sound of the soaring spear. He looked at Sailormoon, fearing that she'll be killed. Sailormoon was aware of it too and spun around. Tuxedo Mask jumped behind Sailormoon, trying to shield her from the spear. Sailormoon knew that she couldn't let Tuxedo Mask be hurt. She realized, even as Darien, he had saved her so many times; she needed to save him, too. "Watch ouuuuut!" cried Sailormoon. Everything seemed to be in slow motion. She quickly grabbed Tuxedo Mask and jumped behind him, squeezing her eyes shut. No more ice-spear. It punctured Sailormoon's side as she let out a painful cry, like no one has ever heard before; not even Darien! He gasped and yelled, "NOOO!" Sailormoon slowly let go of Tuxedo Mask and collapsed backwards, groaning in pain, silently. While collapsing, she gripped her crescent moon wand. Right when she hit the ground, she tried to wretch her eyes open. She felt Tuxedo Mask lift her up into his arms, which felt warm and secure. She couldn't see so well, as she tried to smile for him. She never actually smiled to him, but she couldn't think of anything to say. "Sailormoon!" cried Tuxedo Mask. "Can you hear me?" Sailormoon wasn't sure if she even heard anything. She felt her legs were growing numb of pain, but she did think that she felt felt Tuxedo Mask was holding her. How strange, she thought, I'd actually care and saved Darien. How weird, also, that he'd actually care for me. I can't believe that Darien would hold me like this, even when he found out I'm Sailormoon. Tuxedo Mask had his left arm supporting Sailormoon up, his lap and left arm supporting her bottom. She felt blood drenching her sailor-oufit fast, and she thought she felt it close up, but the pain was still there. She wanted to say something, as she saw Darien cry for her for the first time in her life. Sailormoon started to shed streams of tears down her beautiful face. She started to smile again as she stammered, "Oh-- Tuxedo Mask, are-- you OK?" She wanted to trust to give Tuxedo Mask her crescent moon wand, but her left arms won't move as the wand just lay in her hand. She forced her self, and put into Tux's hand. When he took hold of the wand, Tuxedo Mask's eyes started to form tears as he answered, "Oh, Sailormoon, I'm okay. But why did you save me! Why! Please Serena, hang on; we're going to get you some help. Stay with me!" Strange, he thought, I never cried for meatba-- Serena here. I feel-- a strange passion towards her for some reason. But now, she just saved my life and possibly is going to lose hers! Oh how much I wanted to say how sorry I am to you, Serena! I wish I could've treated you better, but now look at this! You're losing you life because of me! Zoicite in the distance just laughed, "Oh Tuxedo Mask, looks like you were to slow to save her. That crystal spear is going to destroy her in a matter of time!" She held up one of her hands and blasted a strong black force at Tuxedo Mask and SM. He shielded SM & jumped over, hitting his head. His face was revealed once more. Sailormoon wretched her eyes to see the other Scouts come in. "Sailorscouts--" whispered Sailormoon. Tuxedo Mask was startled and looked down at her, then at the other Scouts. Both of them saw Venus gasp, and so did everyone else. "Sailormoon!" they all cried, running. Zoicite just laughed again, "You're too late, Sailorscouts." Sailormoon tried to stay awake, but life was so hard to grasp on. She finally whispered, "Darien---" Tuxedo Mask looked immediately at her as a tear fell on her cheek. "I'm--sorry. Protect the scouts--for me." She tried to touch his arm, but could only say, "Keep the crystals--- and-- find your princess..." She whispered one last time, "I'll always be with you, ---Darien." The hand that she held up to give Tuxedo Mask the wand collapsed. Darkness overpowered her cold, limp body as she closed her eyes and lay back in Tux's arms. Tuxedo Mask was really crying now. He shook his head as he cried, "No, Sailormoon, please-- don't go!" He couldn't yell, because he was so sad. He saw Zoicite laughing secretly. How much he wanted to destroy her! Then, Tuxedo Mask cried secretly to Serena (not Sailormoon), "How can I say this--in my own way, I guess I do feel the same way Serena,--I love you." He placed a secret kiss on Sailormoon's lips (which none of the Scouts saw). He saw the Scouts standing over him as he looked up. All of them were crying as they bent down. Mercury fought her tears and checked SM's pulse. She shook her head. "I'm-- afraid she's about to let go-- Darien," she sniffled. She started to weep harder. Sailormars was surprised when she heard the name "Darien." She looked over at Tuxedo Mask and was speechless, with tears running down her pretty face. All that Tuxedo Mask could sniffled out was, "Sailormars-- Raye---" Mars gasped, "Darien?" She turned away for a moment and turned back around to kneel and look at Sailormoon. She just broke down, crying. Jupiter, fighting tears, came over and checked her pulse, then tried to shake SM up. "Sailormoon! Wake up!" begged Jupiter. "I know you can hear me!" No response. Sailormoon was motionless as her sad look on her face is still on her. Jupiter was piqued as she stood up, clenching her fists harder than Darien could clench his! Tuxedo Mask examined Jupiter as he questioned himself, "Lita-- is actually Sailorjupiter? And Sailormercury-- is actually Amy ? All of Serena's major friends are Sailorscouts?" He was stilled too shocked to believe that, and that SM is possibly killed. Jupiter yelled out to Zoicite, "You're going to really pay for what you did to Sailormoon! On behalf of Jupiter, you'll be just a pile of electrons when I'm done!" She darted, "I call upon the great powers of Jupiter, come and help me destroy this Negavillan to dust!" The antenna raced to its height on her tiara as she commanded, "Jupiter thunder! CRAAASH!" The thunder shot at Zoicite, but she jumped aside. Then, she resumed her position. "So Tuxedo Mask," she sneered, "I can bring your dear Sailormoon back to you ONLY IF you give me the crescent moon wand!" Tuxedo Mask just stared angrily, not knowing what to do. He had a quick foreshadow, seeing Sailormoon pleading, "Please, Tuxedo Mask! Whatever you do, don't give it to her! It's not worth it! Please, do this for me!" Tuxedo Mask frowned his eyebrows and responded, "Never! I'll never trust you!" Venus took her shot, "Venus crescent-beam SMASH!" The beam hit Zoicite, thankfully. She staggered in surprise. "Alright, you Sailorbrat! You're gonna get it!" she cried, holding her side. She aimed her hands at Darien and Serena, but the Sailorscouts quickly reacted. They jumped into a square position, and shot their powers out at her, furiously. They practically destroyed Zoicite. Suddenly, the crescent moon wand in Tux's hand started to glow and float. The rainbow crystals appeared and circulated the wand. "What's happening?" asked Mercury. She and the others looked stunned. The crystals circulated the wand enough to form...the Imperium Silver Crystal! Everyone, including Zoicite gasped. The Crystal connected with the wand, and shot out a powerful energy force, sending Zoicite at a rocky rock. She fell unconscious. "The Imperium Silver crystal!" cried Luna. All of a sudden, Sailormoon's clothes surprising changed into a beautiful white and gold gown, with her tiara changing into a glowing crescent moon. Tuxedo Mask had something glow on his forehead too, causing him some unbearable stressful pain. He used one of his hands to support his head, but he couldn't help it. Sailormars with concern bent down and asked, "Tuxedo Mask! Are you OK? What's wrong!" He couldn't respond. He just looked at her, and then gasped. He saw long and big flashbacks of a place he saw in his dream. He remembered-- dancing with Serena! And -- he remembered him fighting with his sword and everything. He then looked down at Serena and gasped, "Serena-- you're the one in my dreams!" Jupiter said, "Serena is the moon princess!" Everyone gasped. Mars was jealous, but she got over it right away. She understood now, that Darien's heart belongs to Serena rightfully. The stress was till going on in Darien's head. After the stress had perished, he let go, gasping. He looked down at his beloved and wept, "Why must you be gone? Why can't it be me!" "Oh, Serena!" he cried. He hugged her as he thought again, "You're the one in my dreams! You were from the moon, and I was from Earth! We were destined to be together forever, until a war broke out; the Moon Kingdom being destroyed forever by the Negaverse." Tuxedo Mask was still crying really hard when Mars sensed a powerful evil force directed at them. She cried, "Quickly! Tuxedo Mask! Sailorscouts! There's an evil force coming! Let's get out of here!" Too late. The force hit everyone. Darien shielded Serena like many times before, and jumped away, irregularly. The Scouts were blow away, sliding on their backs as they went. They got up, and saw that Zoicite arose; wrecked but laughing. She aimed to destroy Sailormoon and Darien, but Mars reacted, "Mars, fire, IGNITE!" Jupiter also cried, "Jupiter, thunder, CRASH!" The blasts hit Zoicite and destroyed some of the rocks above, blocking her and some on top of her. Mars yelped, "Gotcha, Negamonster!" Meanwhile, Mercury and Venus were on their knees next to Sailormoon, trying to wake her up. "Sailormoon, come on Sailormoon!" begged Venus. "Oh can't -- you hear us?" asked Mercury. Tuxedo Mask tried again, "Sailormoon, can't you hear me? Please, make a sound so that I know that you're alright, please!" He shook her gently, then harder. Everyone, even Mars, formed tears. Mars and Jupiter bravely brushed them away. Venus looked at Darien and replied, "Tuxedo Mask, we've got to get Sailormoon to the hospital as soon as possible." "I say let's go now!" cried Mercury, fighting tears. While Darien lifted up Sailormoon, he saw that her sailorsuit was drenched with blood. He gasped in pain as Venus silently halted. "Huh?" asked the Scouts. Venus lifted up one of Sailormoon's dangling wrists and felt for her pulse. She then placed the arm back onto Sailormoon's body, and felt round for Sailormoon's carotid pulse. She gasped after a few seconds and shook her head, crying. All that Darien could do is cry some more. "I'm--sorry, Tuxedo Mask," sniffled Venus. She started to bawl again. "She's gone." The words were like an everlasting nightmare. They seemed to be echoing everywhere as TM gasped. Then he resisted, "No Sailorvenus, no! I believe that Serena hasn't gone yet. We can still try to see what the hospital can do." Without waiting for an answer, he changed out of his tux, with Serena changing out of her sailoroutfit, still with her dress on. He started to look for a way out. The Scouts darted up behind him and took their cues. "Mars. fire ignite!" cried Mars. "Jupiter, thunder crash!" commanded Jupiter. "Venus crescent-beam smash!" ordered Venus, crying. "Mercury bubbles blast!" shouted Mercury. The forces hit the wall of the Starlight tower and blasted it open into the harbor of Tokyo. They all jumped out, with the Scouts changing back into their original clothes. Without asking, Darien with Serena in his arms (and the crescent moon wand in his pocket) sprinted all the way to the nearest hospital into the emergency room. While running, he was silently praying, "Come on, Serena, you can't be gone. I know you can't be. You're Sailormoon! Everyone and the Scouts need you Sailormoon! I need you, Sailormoon! Please, let the doctors bring her back." When they arrived, all breathless, Darien tried to hide his tears as he rushed into the emergency room. Raye was too trying to hide tears. She pleaded loudly, "Please, someone help! My friend has been hurt really badly! She's losing a lot of blood! Someone help!" A doctor at about 60 ran over. "What? What happened to her?" he asked as he lifted up Serena onto a bed, with nurses helping. He seemed to notice the blood, so he tore out a cloth and placed it on the wound. It started to open again. Darien, with all the courage he could dig up, answered, "She was stabbed on the side by someone, but I couldn't remember who she looked like. We were at a party." Dr. Jino didn't really care about the questions yet. He started to wheel Serena into the emergency room and ordered, "You and her friends wait out here." Darien heard one of the nurses cryout, "No pulse. She must be brought..." She didn't finish her sentence. After Serena was in the room, Darien and the Scouts were outside, praying for her to be alright. They were all introduced to each other, trying to perk up the mood as they went. Darien however, wasn't holding on too well. Sure, he broke out a little suave smile when he was introduced to Mina, but he kept having flashbacks of whenever he was near, around, or with Serena. He kept thinking about the way he treated her, and how she still manages to keep smiling. But the flashback he has to most problem dealing with was when he and Serena were recently in the Starlight Tower battling Zoicite, after finding out each of their true identities. He kept seeing how she protected him, taking the blast of the stab and pain, thinking that he was too out of it to save Sailormoon. This was one of the first times he thought that Serena has the beauty of the most beautiful, in his opinion, and he teased her! He started to cry inside, "Please, Dr. Jino, bring Serena back for me. You have to! Serena, hold on; please hold on. You can't leave now; not when I found out who you were; not when our friendship and relationship was steering towards the correct direction. Serena, if you can hear me, I'm so sorry I've treated you like I did before. I know you probably can't, but I really am! It's all my fault! I should've protected you better! You were just about the only person that I actually--well,-- love. No matter how irritant or annoying you get, you were always somehow nice to people, even to me!" He couldn't think further. The flashbacks hurt too much. He broke down and cried in his hands like a helpless, lost child; trying to do it silently. It was no use. All the girls noticed. Raye and Amy scooted over and placed one of their loving hands on Darien's back, smoothing it. Raye was trying to sort out her feelings for Darien. She still was a bit in love with him, but she knew, over and over, that he belonged to Serena. She shook off her jealousy. How could think that she was still in love with her best friends' boyfriend, when her best friend is in conditions like this? Probably even close to death? Over and over, she tried to comfort herself, silently blaming herself also for what happened to Serena. I should've had a vision of this! Why didn't I!, she screamed in her mind. While she was comforting Darien, she felt something wet and possibly red on her hand. She gasped and looked at her hand. The wet stuff was Darien's blood! "Darien! Are--you okay?" stammered Raye, teary-eyed. "What happened to your back!" Darien looked up from crying at Raye's face. He still can't get over how pretty Raye looked; just as beautiful as Serena, in second place. Raye, he thought, you're such a noble friend. You're always there for people. I guess I'm gonna need you as much as Serena for a friend. "I'm--alright," answered Darien. Raye shook her head, and so did Amy. "But Darien," replied Amy, "you're seriously hurt, no matter if you feel it or not. We're at the hospital now, so it's convenient. Come on!" She tugged at his arm. Lita and Mina stood up next to them. "This pain doesn't mean anything to me," responded Darien. "Serena's pain hurts a lot more." Mina, very good in convincing, tried, "Darien, Serena would want you to be treated for this, wouldn't she? Just think about it. I know she loves you Darien, and she'd want you to get treated." Darien looked at Mina in her beautiful blue eyes for the first time. "I guess-- you're right, Mina," gave in Darien. Amy and Raye helped Darien walk back into the main lobby of the emergency room. Raye went up to one of the doctors and pleaded, "Please, you've gotta help me! My friend Darien here needs treatment for a wound on his back. He's been injured!" The Dr. Yabumoto rushed over to Darien and Amy. Darien was trying to support his wound. The doctor asked, "What happened?" He gently shoved Darien's hand off his back and looked at his wound. "Darien, please take off your jacket." Darien did as he was told. He slowly slid off his jacket. "I'm going to ask you to come with me," requested the Dr. Darien nodded and started to follow him as Amy let go, leaving the girls looking after him with concern. Lita stared at him too, worriedly, with a new respect for him. After about fifteen minutes, Darien came back out from the emergency room with a bandage around his head, and bandages around his back, covered by his clothes. He smiled vaguely as he walked out. The girls were overjoyed to see him for the moment. "Darien, how are you feeling?" asked Raye, eagerly. She tried to smile cheerfully. "I feel a lot better. Thanks, Raye," thanked Darien. He patted her shoulder. He limped for a bit, but then quickly redeemed himself. He looked at Lita and asked her, "Lita, has Dr. Jino talked to any of you about Serena's conditions?" He eagerly hoped for an answer. Lita shook her head and turned from him a bit, answering, "No, he hasn't." She included, "I'm sorry, Darien." Darien looked down at his feet, with his arm over his wound. "I guess we have to wait." The girls nodded in sadness as they went back into the waiting room to wait. Everyone was constantly looking at the clock. Then, after 30 more minutes of waiting, Dr. Jino came out. Darien didn't notice because he was still so preoccupied of thinking about things. "Darien? Dr. Jino's out here. You'd probably want to talk to him," shook Mina. She looked down at him with a little smile on her face. Darien looked up and stood up quickly, walking to Dr. Jino with some hope. "Mr. Chiba?" the Dr. asked Darien. Darien quickly answered, "Yes? How's Serena doing? I--is she doing any better? What are her conditions?" Dr. Jino just halted gently, "Whoa, Darien. Slow down. I'll answer your questions, hopefully." He looked at his chart in his hands and started to answer, "She's very weak, Darien, and she lost very big amounts of blood. She's doing only a bit better then when she came in, and she's in a coma. I can't say if she's going to make it or not, but hopefully she will. She's in her room right now, in the intensive care unit. if you'd like to see her. But, I warn you that she's very weak, so try not to excite yourself nor her." He smiled, but stayed in his nonchalant manner as he walked away. But about halfway from his office, he turned back around and said, "Darien, don't worry. I'm hoping for you." Darien lessened up from his stiff phase a bit, but he was still fatally scared. He said that Serena might not pull through, he palely thought, what have I done! He started to get frantic with himself. He only snapped out of it when Amy gently shoved him to get him walking. Amy was really sad, probably next after Darien and Raye. Lita, on the other hand, was ready to kick Beryl's butt with hate and determination. How could she do that to one of her best friends in the world! And Mina, even though she never actually met Serena in person, she already knew that she's a great and very important person to everyone. She was sad, too. When everyone entered Serena's room, Darien started to shake and cry. He couldn't control his emotions any longer. He just started to pour everything out. The problem is, he didn't do that very loudly. He just made average crying noises at the site he saw. It wasn't all to bad. Serena was in one of the hospital's lose gowns, lying there on the bed so peacefully and beautiful; anyone could've just mistaken her that she was just sleeping instead of being in a coma. There were several needles injecting some tranquilizers and medicine in her right arm. Her golden, silky hair was still tied in her spherical buns, streaming down her sides as if a waterfall. There was only a bandage wrapped around her head because of a little gash on her head, and her side was wrapped with a lot of sterile gauze and bandages. Darien couldn't hold it any longer. He and the girls rushed to her side. He stroked her face, and then took her hand. "Serena?" Darien asked. He tried his best to hold his emotions together. He saw Amy look at the monitors. She spun around and walked over to where the chart hung over Serena's bed. She took it and examined it carefully. Finally, after about two minutes, she spoke up, "Guys, I think I can tell exactly what her conditions are." Raye cried out, "Well spill it, Amy." Amy smiled with tears still brimming in her eyes. "She was severely stabbed in the side, and she lost a lot of blood for her age (she emphasized 'a lot'). She also has some cut on her forehead, but something's strange though." Lita was shocked first, and replied, "Well, do you know what it is, Amy?" Amy started to flip around the pages and think. She then answered, "The hospital chart doesn't say." She put the chart down and looked up, "I think there's something going on in her mind." Darien yelped up, "What do you think it is?" Raye answered for him, "I can try to get into her mind and search around. It might be some type of mind game, trying to destroy her by the Negaverse." Amy shook her head, "Raye, that could be dangerous. If the controller is by the Negaverse and Queen Beryl, it could get you too. It's too risky." Raye wouldn't listen. "Look, in order to find out what's really going on, we've really got to try to do this. It's the only way." Darien stepped forward. "Raye, at least let Serena have some rest. She might not be able to handle that yet, and again, we don't know if there is anything going on in her mind." Raye looked at him. Was he really talking to me? she thought. Raye then solemnly nodded her head in defeat. "Alright, you're right Darien. I'll do that mind scan thing later," she answered. She tried to smile, but she was still stiff from her tears. She plopped on a chair, but then stood up again. "Wait, Darien. Didn't you want to meet Andrew for something?" Darien gasped, "Yeah, I forgot! I'd better call him now." He walked over and picked up the room's phone, and dialed. In a moment he and Andrew were talking. "Hello?" asked Andrew. "Hey Andrew, it's me Darien," he started. "Listen, I--can't come to that meeting at the university after all. I--I have to be somewhere." He started to choke on his sobs again. Andrew on the other lined noticed. "Darien, are you OK? What's wrong?" "Nothing," Darien answered, shakily. "Why can't you come? I know it's none of my business, but I'm just curious," he questioned. Darien glanced over at the girls, and they nodded; saying it's OK to tell Andrew why couldn't he go. "Um," Darien managed. He started to crack his voice, he started to cry again. "Darien? What's wrong? I know you're crying, but what is it?" asked Andrew, worriedly. Darien just poured everything out. "Andrew, I--can't go because Serena's in the hospital," he cried. Mina and the girls rushed over to takeover. Lita smoothed his back, and he walked away to Serena's side and took her hand, crying like a helpless kid. "Andrew? It's Lita," she answered. Her voice started to crack up too. "Sorry about Darien. He and we are pretty shaken up about what happened to Serena. Just take our word for it; he can't come." Andrew was shaking, "Where is she? What happened to her?" "She-- was stabbed in the back by someone, technically shot," responded Lita. "Wait Lita, what room is she in?" asked Andrew. "I'm coming over there." "Room 17-H. Gotta go, bye," slammed Lita. "Later," answered Andrew. The girls all stood by Darien, trying their best to comfort him. He was crying for the first time in years. He couldn't help it. He just wailed and wailed, holding Serena's hand. After some time, he finally started to pause. But, he was still noticeably crying. That's when Andrew silently came in. "Lita? Darien?" he asked. Lita looked up and led him in. He looked at Serena, then Darien. He rushed over to him. "Are--are you okay, Darien?" he asked. Darien sniffled and shook his head. He turned to the girls and asked, "Lita, how did you say what happened?" Tears were brimming in her green eyes. "She was cut, but technically shot." "What do you mean, 'technically'?" he asked. Lita didn't answer as tears were streaming down her face. Andrew understood. "She was kind of cut, but the utensil was speeding towards her," he said. Mina just nodded for Lita. Andrew then looked over at Serena, lying on the bed peacefully as if sleeping. He then walked over and smoothed her face. HE wanted to know why did Darien change his outlook on Serena, I mean he practically hated her. Guess that he really actually care and just about loved her. Darien himself tried to hide his real emotions towards Serena from Andrew. He walked over and bent down at Serena and Darien. Andrew brushed a few strands of Serena's pure golden hair from her face. Darien was a bit jealous, but was too sad to do anything. When he looked at Andrew, he saw that there were tears sliding from his eyes too. "How's she really doing?" Andrew whispered. Amy answered for Darien, "Not too good. She's-- in a coma, ---and we don't know when she'll snap out of it." She immediately started to cry. Raye, with her strong-willed side, tried to comfort her. A few more hours passed. Andrew and everyone else remained in the room, until Dr. Jino crept into the room. He walked in so quietly that everyone yelped in surprise when they saw him. He walked over to Darien and replied, "Darien, as much this sounds bad, visiting hours are over." He pleaded with the Doctor, "Please, can't I stay overnight with her? I know you want her parents to be with her, but the truth is, her family is currently out of town, and we all don't know where they are." Dr. Jino encourageably, "Don't worry, Darien; you didn't let me finish. You may stay here overnight, along with the rest of you. But the limit is two to three people in a room. There are chairs, blankets, pillows and other things here in this room's closet and in the front desk." Lita asked, "As for the rest of us, can't -- we stay overnight in the recovery waiting room? We promise not to cause any type of trouble there." Dr. Jino smiled continually, "Sure. I understand the looks in your eyes that you really want to stay. So, I've arranged some places in the recovery waiting room for you all to stay." Mina smiled with tears in her eyes. "Oh, thank you so much, Dr. Jino!" Mina thanked, softly. The Doctor smiled. "You're welcome, girls. And normally, I don't overtime, but I'll stay overnight to keep my eye on her." Darien was smiling full of joy and tried to thank the doctor, but all he could do was form silent words. So Andrew spoke, "Thank you, Doctor. We really appreciate your help and sacrifices." He smiled. The Doctor just answered, "You're all welcome. I'll be in here at about every now and then to check on her. If you need me, be welcome to go down to the front desk and ask them for me." He waved and left the room. Darien, still holding Serena's hand, stood up, and replied, "Alright you guys. Now, we just need to decide who should stay with Serena." He looked at everyone for a second and answered, "I think I should stay with her, for one. Who else? No more than three people can be in here." Andrew stepped forward and volunteered, "I'll be the next volunteer." Lita and Raye stared at him. Raye replied, "Andrew, we appreciate it, but you don't need to. We don't want to trouble you. And in anyway, you can stay overnight in the recovery waiting room." She tried to sound confident, but it was no use. Tears swelled up in her eyes and plundered down her cheeks. She couldn't control her pain any longer. She wanted to cry on one of her friends' shoulders, preferably Darien's, but she couldn't; to her, it wasn't right. Andrew tried to protest, but he saw Lita in back of Raye shaking her head sadly. He nodded, "Alright. I'll stay in the recovery waiting room, but I'll sometimes come in to check up on everything, just like Dr. Jino would." He saw that Darien smiled of relief for a second. "Good luck, to her recovery..." Andrew trailed off as he left the room. Darien went back to his girlfriends and responded, "Like I said, I'm definitely one of the people who should stay here. Anyone up for volunteering?" All of the girls looked down. Amy finally stepped forward and responded, "I'll do it. I'll be here just in case you fall asleep and the doctor comes in." "I doubt that I'll get any sleep at all," he retorted. Mina glanced over and said, "Raye -- right? Why don't you stay here also? From what you told me about Serena and you, you seem to be best friends." "We are best friends," emphasized Raye. She looked at everyone and asked, "Should I? I mean, I really want to, but judging by the fact that I'm a big bitch, I don't think I should." Lita answered, "Raye, why don't you and the rest of us just take turns, to save each other's health? Do you want me to go first, or you?" Raye hesitated, but then answered, "I--I guess I can go first. We don't have to take turns, Lita. I probably want to keep up my powers to detect anything." She tried to look at Darien in the corner of her eye to see how'd he react. Instead, he was just acting the same way when he walked in; all pale and sad. "I'll sleep on the opposite side of Serena's bed; close enough to detect any strange forces around or in her." Amy and the rest of the people nodded, unenthusiastically. They all just stayed there for a few more minutes. Darien was watching everyone, to see his Scouts friends in real life. He just couldn't believe, that all the Scouts were right under his nose! He observed Raye first, supposedly wondering why hasn't she thrown a fit yet at everything that's happened. He could then picture Amy as Sailormercury, using her mental computer to detect anything. Instead, for once he didn't find her nose buried in a book as usual; she was watching him and Serena. Now Lita on the other hand, wasn't too happy. She was sobbing silently, but at the same time clenching her fists into balls of hate. He expected this; she was causing everyone to look at her. They didn't pay attention to any of the unbearable silence in the room; for it hurt too much. He went back watching Lita; she that she pulled out a spear-like wooden stake in her hands. Oh no, what's Lita doing? She's not going to kill me with that stake, is she? Darien wondered. No; instead, it looks like she was trying to break it. After a few seconds of trying, she succeeded. It broke into pieces, causing Mina to jump. Everyone else wasn't surprised; she has beaten up eight boys all at once at her old school, causing them all to never want to hear her name again plus getting stitches. AND she got kicked her out of school. Mina went over and sooth Lita. "Hey Lita, chill. I know we're all pretty ticked, but we can't forget our mission. I'm sure Serena would want us to be happy. I know I sound like a preaching jerk, but--telepathecially, I think that's what she wants." Everyone was stunned. "You're right, Mina," complimented Amy, softly. "But, you said telepathically?" Mina nodded, along with Raye. "I think Mina's right. I just tried, and it seems that's what she said." Tux Boy was still unsatisfied. "Is that all?" His question went unanswered as everyone stared at him. Mina and Lita started to leave the room. But before they do, they went over to Serena's bed one last time to check upon her. Mina touched Serena's hand and whispered, "In the name of Venus, love will revive you again..." She smiled briefly at Darien, who just stared. Lita was fatally angry as she went over to Serena's side, too. She smoothed Serena's hand and promised, "And in the name of Jupiter, Queen Beryl is history; along with all evil..." Then, they both left. As Lita left the room, she dumped the karate stake that she snapped in the nearby trash can, quietly. She caught a glimpse of Raye staring at her. When the girls left, Amy stood up and replied, "So-- where do you all want to sleep and do? I--I guess I can get everything ready for the next few nights. I--I'll sleep on the opposite wall, near the door so just in case the doctor comes in." She then directed, "Darien, since you're sleeping over at where Serena's at, you probably might not have enough sheets and stuff. What me to go get them for you?" She tried to break out a little smile. He just answered, "Sure, that'll be fine. Like I said, I doubt that I'm going to get any sleep anyways." Darien for the first time left Serena's side for a moment. Everyone thought he was going to go outside for some air, but unexpectedly, he went over to the trash can and picked out the pieces of Lita's karate stake and stared at them. "Uh, Darien, what are you doing?" Raye inquired. He didn't answer right away. After a few more minutes, he dumped them back in and went back to where he was at first. "Now I know how strong and furious Lita can get when things aren't too pretty." Raye shrugged and closed her eyes, placing her hands together. Darien was confused, but to Amy, she was hopeful. Raye was starting to do a little meditation reading to try solve some of the current problem. Before Amy went over to the linen closet to get some blankets and sheets, she looked at Serena's chart again. She was thinking, "Heavy antibiotics are used, along with sugar water to calm her down. She's still in a serious coma, and she might need a blood transfusion because the amount of blood she lost." She flipped the page over. "Ampicillin, Erythromycin, Cefadroxil, and Acetaminophen are all used. There's -- yikes! LOTS of Acetaminophen used to calm the pain down to help relax. Hmm, even the doctor might prescribe some more of that and some Cephalexin." She put the chart down and proceeded to the closet. Meanwhile with Tux Boy, he was thinking, Oh when is Serena going to wake up from her coma? Come on, Serena, don't let the pain get to you. I'm right here to help you. Please, wake up! Wake up from all of this! He placed her hand to his face. During the next few hours, everyone wasn't doing too well. Raye was trying to use her power to find out anything helpful while Lita and Mina were trying to comfort with each other; along with Andrew. Lita, especially, threw a big fit. She didn't yell, but she did kick air. Thankfully, no one was really in the room to be targeted at. She almost even broke one of the lamps there, but Mina was just looking down on the ground; practically hypnotized from staring at it. Amy DID bring her book with her; she was trying to concentrate, but it was no use. Several times, she gave up. "Why--Why can't I concentrate? Why don't I get this? Cephalexin is composed of --- oh! This seemed so right yesterday, but now-- ugh!" She clamped her hands over her head and closed the book, placing it into her bag. She stood up, and found that Darien feel asleep, leaning on Serena's bed still with her hand in his. He was already in some blankets, but there were yanked off. Amy walked over and straightened out the big chair, stool and sheets. She pulled them over to his chin, and patted his back. He stirred, which caused Amy to gasp silently, but he went back to sleep. Amy just sat back into her big chair. She placed her feet on her stool, and lay back. Once again, she studied from her book tiredly. Amy must have fallen asleep because she didn't realize that the someone was tapping on her shoulder. She stirred and wanted to go back to sleep, but when she opened her eyes, she saw that Dr. Jino was looking down at her. She automatically woke up. "Oh, Dr. Jino!" she replied. She sat up quickly and slid the book off her face. "How's Serena doing?" Dr. Jino looked sad as he replied, "I'm sorry, --- but Serena's--- past away. I'm really sorry." Amy couldn't believe her ears. Her best friend was gone...her Scout leader, her princess-- gone. She couldn't say anything but stare at him and around the room. Serena was still lying there in the same position as always, but Darien was standing there, crying his eyes out. Her friends were there too; all of them crying. Raye was crying the hardest, and then Mina. Lita was being comforted by Andrew, with his arm around her shoulder. Then, she just focused staring at her leader. She heard Dr. Jino calling, "Excuse me, Miss Anderson? Amy? Amy?" Her ears were echoing her name, but she couldn't react. * * "Excuse me, Miss Anderson? Amy? Amy?" called out someone. She stirred and opened her eyes, gasping. "Dr. Jino?" she replied. She woke up completely. Her thoughts...they were all just a nightmare. She shook it off, feeling relieved that it isn't true, hopefully. Still, she did wake up finding that her book was almost covering her face. She observed that no one else was awake except her, and it was 10:30 p.m. "How's Serena doing?" she asked. Dr. Jino smiled vaguely, "She's doing about the same, still. There's not much improvement, I'm afraid. I'm just telling you, because you seem really good in the medical field, and you'll probably understand. You see, I might be taking out some of the drugs, and applying new ones. I think that I can take out the Ampicillin, since there's already some Erythromycin. I don't know, but I might be adding some more Erythromycin, in that case. Do you understand what I'm saying?" Amy nodded, happily. "Yes, thank so much Dr. Jino, for all of this!" The Dr. smiled wider, "You're welcome, Amy. I'll keep you posted with all the facts." He patted her shoulder and left the room. Amy slid out of her nest, and looked at Serena's chart. She could really tell where the changes of the medication were at. She studied it a few more minutes, and then silently crept out of the room. She started to walk to the recovery waiting room. When she got there, she saw that her friends were asleep all next to each other. She decided not to bother them. Amy walked to the food machine, and ordered a cup of cocoa. She sipped at it, feeling a bit warmed up. Amy started to walk around. Literally, no one actually got any sleep. Lita woke up constantly, and Mina kept pacing around. Andrew just couldn't feel tired. Raye just about gave up on her search, and sadly fallen asleep. Darien was asleep, but it certainly wasn't one of the most pleasant ones. When Amy came back into the room, she checked the chart again, but found no change. Of the organizer she is, she saw that Raye's sheets were pulled almost all the way off; so she pulled them back up. Once again, Darien was struggling and moaning, and his blankets again were pulled off. She tucked him back in and quickly examined him. He definitely was paler than before and he was sweating. "Should I wake him so he could stop sweating? He's surely having nightmares in the worst ways," Amy thought. She decided to, and shook him. Darien was moaning, "No-- please don't leave me, Serena! I -- can't live without you! Please..." He was shaking and tossing around. "Darien," she whispered. No reaction. "Darien," she tried, harder. "Wake up; you're only having a nightmare! Wake up!" And with one big shake, he did. He sat up, panting and looking around the room. When he looked up, he only saw the beauty blue-haired girl genius gazing down at him, full of fright. "Darien, calm down. It was only a nightmare. Come on, snap out of it," she begged. He did, after a few deep breaths. "It was only a nightmare," he panted. He started to form tears. "Oh Amy, why can't I get over the pain? How can you girls take it all so well?" Amy glanced over at the sleeping princess and answered, "We're not, to be honest. Lita, like you saw, broke a stake in half with her bare hands, and she was whispering threats, plus beating air. Mina was hypnotized to the ground she was staring at and she was trembling. Andrew was just staring into space while Raye was REALLY frustrated at herself to not be able to search through Serena's mind, or anything. Me, like the bookworm nerd I am, can't concentrate or get anything in my head. I even had a nightmare about this just right now! So do you think everyone is taking this pretty well still?" Darien shook his head. "Why--why couldn't I've been her hero still and save her! Why did she protect me? To her, I'm just an annoying conceited jerk!" Amy shook her head, "No, you're not entirely. True, you may act like one, but deep down you're not. Serena saw that in you before she was hurt. She knew that you had heart, and now, she just about adores you." "What, because of our past?" challenged Darien. "No, because she cares about you," answered Amy. "We all do. Even Raye; even though she knows that you're Serena's and not her's. Even though--" "No! Don't you get it Amy? I--I don't even understand how I feel about her, even though we found about our past! But--I DO care, and to see her almost gone like this, it makes me feel like a murderer!" he cried. He buried his head in his hands. Just then, Lita came to to check on everyone. "I can't go through this! If Serena's going to be like this, I might as well be gone! She just about gave up her life for me! Me! A jerk in everyone's life!" he raged. "Darien, snap out of it! You're getting hysterical! This isn't the real you!" cried Lita. She quickly jogged over to Amy. "You don't get it too, Lita! You wouldn't understand what I'm going through!" raged Darien. Paths of tears were flying down his face. "The hell I do!" marveled Lita. She made sure that she didn't wake Raye or Serena. "How do you think I feel? She's my best friend and leader; and how would you feel if your best friend is lying here like this, huh? Look at all of us! We're going nuts too! Look at ME! You think you've lost something, look at this; I've lost BOTH of my parents in a plane crash, and I lost ALL of my friends as well as my reputation and education! I lost almost everything! And now, I'm probably going to lose one of my new best friends in the world too! I live all by myself; almost no friends, no feminine behavior, no pleasant memories, no orphanage to take care of me!" "Yeah, well same story! I lost both of my parents and my life memories, too!" Darien yelled. "I can't bear to lose my friends and lover too!" Lita couldn't stand it any longer. She grabbed her fist and punched Darien on his left jaw. He fell back, with his hand on his injury. Lita gasped. She has never hit her friends like that. "Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry Darien! Are you alright! I didn't mean that!" She turned away, crying. Darien automatically stopped crying and started gasping. "Ow," he gasped. He gently rubbed his wound, which is now bright red. He stood up and replied, "Thanks Lita, for knocking me back to normal." He tried to place a hand on her shoulder, but she heaved away. "Oh my gosh, how could I hit you like that?" she asked, still crying. She turned around and begged, "Please, hit me back; it's the only way I'll feel better." Darien shook his head, "No, it's not right." "Neither was hitting you!" cried Lita. "Yeah, but that snapped me out of my hysterics," he answered. He hugged her gently and quickly. "I guess--I can stay in here for a while," stammered Lita. She turned to Amy. "Is she doing any better, Amy?" "Not really," the genius answered. "Dr. Jino came in while all of you were sleeping, and he said that he might changed some of the medication around. He's taking out Ampicillin, and adding a bit more Erythromycin. And, he said that she hasn't really improved." Everyone nodded sadly. Lita stayed for several more minutes, and then went out again. Amy tried to crawl back into her nest with her book, and Darien tried to get something to eat/drink and to sleep. He still had her hand in his. By a few hours later, everyone fell asleep in their places. Amy in her nest with the covers mostly off of her; Raye's almost on the ground; Darien's down to his mid-chest. Lita, Mina and Andrew all slept in separate armchairs. They all fell asleep until 7:30 a.m., when Darien woke up from his 5 1/2 hour sleep (with waking up every once in a while). He first looked up at Serena, who still remained in the same position as she was before. Amy was asleep with her book almost covering her face with her blankets down; one of her legs were out. Raye was slumped over from her chair to Serena's bed. He walked over to Amy and slid her book off her face. He then tried not to wake by adjusting her covers. Amy stirred and squinted her eyes open. All she could see was white at first and that scared her. She violently struggled up. "Huh? Where am I? Darien?" she asked. "Whoa, Amy," he whispered. He gently grabbed her arms. "It's OK. I'm here. I was just checking up on you. It's 7:30 in the morning." Amy stood up and looked at the main victim. "Is--she doing any better?" Darien looked at where the genius was looking at. "I don't know. I haven't gotten a chance to really check on her. Her vital signs are pretty normal though." Amy sank back. "That's a relief. Did Dr. Jino come in any more when I was asleep?" Darien shook his head. "No, not that I know of. He probably did and I was probably asleep at the time." Just then, Raye woke up. She sat up and rubbed her head. "Huh? Amy? What time is it?" she asked. "About 7:33 a.m., Raye," Amy answered. "You awake?" Raye nodded. "Yeah. Boy, do I have a pounding headache." She glanced down at the bed. "How's she doing? Any better?" "We're not too sure," Darien answered. "I just woke up, followed by Amy." Raye stood up. "Darien, can I do that fire-reading meditation now? It's better if I do it in the morning, since a lot of things are fresh in mind." Amy and Darien looked at each other as Amy nodded. Darien responded, "OK." Raye nodded as she quickly checked outside for any close hospital staff members. She quickly went back in and stood directly in front of Serena's bed, placing her hands together and closing her eyes. Amy released herself from Darien's grip and sat back down on her chair, watching. Raye concentrated, "Sacred Fire Power, I call upon you to search a mind; Serena's mind. Power of Mars, I command you to come. Please, great fire, guide me to search for my needs, tell me what's going on in Serena's mind; tell us now!" Waves of strange powers encircled Raye as a red streak of power from her mind shot towards to Serena's, and Serena's crescent moon appeared. Raye's Mar's symbol appeared, flashing the Mar's and Moon symbols. Darien in the background was hoping that this will bring Serena back to him. He gasped but Amy quickly stood up and covered his mouth. Raye went on concentrating, and after a few more minutes, she snapped out of it, breaking up the connection. She stepped backward. "Raye! Are you OK?" asked Amy. "What did you see in her mind, Raye? Is it anything that we can use?" Darien asked. He secretly crossed his fingers behind his back. Raye just answered, "I couldn't really tell, but--" "You must have seen something!" he protested. "Darien, you didn't let me finish," replied Raye. "She's thinking about---at what seems to be her past in the Silver Millennium. She's in the process of remembering her past, and I tried to concentrate deeper, but something's blocking it. I couldn't tell, but it is definitely pretty strong if it could blast me out of her mind like that." Darien nodded, a bit calmer now. "She's --trying to remember everything from our past--just like I am..." He sank down onto a chair and replied, "Thanks, Raye." Raye smiled, and he did, too. "All we can really do is hope." * * * Five days past. The Sailorscouts were still at the hospital, but they occasionally do go out and quickly come back. Darien, however, didn't move much at all. Sure, he moved his limbs, but he never left the hospital. He wouldn't leave until Serena's out of her coma. Andrew and his now-girlfriends constantly begged him to loosen up, but he didn't, really. They brought him food, and just about everything to his side. Everyone, especially Raye, was concerned. She had never seem him like this, in all the time she knew him. The bad thing was, she didn't know how to really talk to him now, since he's no longer her's. Whenever she came into the room, she didn't say too much, and she almost never looked into his eyes from then on. On the sixth day, everyone was getting really worried. Serena was still in her coma; and a lot longer than average comas. In the room, Darien was whispering to his love, "Serena, can you hear me? Can't you? I know you can; I just know it! You've been in this coma for six days now, and this is starting to scare everyone---especially me." His kissed her hand as tears started to form. "Wow," he blinked, "not too long ago, you just about hated me, and I don't blame you for it. I was a big jerk, especially to you and Lita. Well, Lita was gutsy enough to beat some of me up." He squeezed her hand. "Come on, Serena, come back! You can't leave me! I know you're strong, I know it! You've proven it so many times as Sailormoon before; do it now! The pain's the enemy, and you're the Sailorscout to fight it! I just wish that you'll come---back!" He started to cry uncontrollably. "It's all my fault! Why--couldn't I've protected you! Why--did you take the hit for ME! Please come back; please--come--back! I'm so sorry; I'm just so sorry!" His tears dropped from his eyes to the bed and Serena's hand. He lay his head on the bed and cried. The Scouts from outside saw what happened and were very concerned. Amy and Mina were crying. "Should--should we go help him?" Amy asked, wiping tears from her face. Lita faithfully placed one of her hands on the genius's shoulder. "No. He needs to be alone right now, to get it all out. He wouldn't want us to be in there; he has to face this himself somehow. Looks like this is the way he chose." But then, something amazing and joyful happened. Darien (again) was still lying his head down on the bed, with the Princess's hand over his and still crying. He gently whispered, "I love you." But that wasn't the amazing part. Serena's hand started to move. She curled her fingers. Darien looked up, startled. Her hand was slowly brought up and patted Darien's cheek. He was rejoicingly happy. "Serena?" She vaguely opened her eyes and smiled, "Darien..." "You're back! You came back!" he cried, all happy. His kissed her gently on her forehead and joyously (but cautiously) hugged her. He couldn't hold it any longer. He cried (not too loud), "Amy! Raye! Lita! Mina! Serena's awake! Come on! She's awake!" The girls, who were about two feet away from the door heard, and immediately rushed in as fast possible. They were all wide-eyed and happy, especially Raye. "Serena! You're back!" cried Amy. She was crying with joy. "You made it!" wept Lita, happily. "I'm so glad!" remarked Mina. "Thank goodness, Serena! I'm so happy!" cried Raye, teary-eyed. She ran over and gratefully hugged her best friend. Serena just lazed there, all happy that she was reunited with the true world. Amy volunteered, "I'll go get Dr. Jino!" She left the room in a rush. "And I'll go get Andrew!" offered Lita. She too left the room in a rush. Mina walked over and asked, "How are you feeling, Serena?" Serena answered, "Tired, and a bit painful, I guess. Sorry, I didn't catch your name. You're Sailorvenus, correct? What's your real name?" Mina patted Serena's hand and responded, "My name's Mina Aino." "Nice to meet you, Mina," Serena whispered. She stared at Darien next to her. "Darien, how long have I been in this coma?" she asked. "Well, six days if you include today," he answered. He smiled as he kissed her again. Serena blushed and grinned. "Wow, that must have been some long coma," she remarked. He saw that her lover formed some tears. "Darien, why are you crying? I'm out of he coma now, see? I'm fine," she asked. "Please don't cry..." She added, "Prince Darien." He stopped automatically. "You know about our past? And remember it?" "Ummhmm. I was remembering it I think when I was sleeping, " she explained. "A lot of the things were pleasant to remember, except the last part where the Silver Millennium ended. During when I was remembering all of my past memories, someone or some force kept butting in. What was it?" Raye sheepishly stepped forward and answered, "It was me. I wanted to use my power on you to see how you're doing. I knew what you were thinking and dreaming about the whole time until I stopped." Serena smiled. "Cool. You must see everything in there, huh?" "Practically," the Shinto Priestess answered. "Actually, me butting in helped me remember some of the Silver Millennium, too." Just then, Dr. Jino came into the room. He was definitely eager to know the facts. He smiled. "Hi Serena, how are you feeling?" he asked. "I'm your doctor, Dr. Jino." "Hi," she greeted. "I still feel tired and I feel some pain but not much." She lazed back and stared at the Prince again. Then she sat up in alert. "Darien, your shoulder! You should get it treated. Oh my gosh, through all of my trouble, you should've gotten it treated! Oh, what have I done!" She started to form tears. Darien immediately bent down and comforted her. "Serena, it's OK. Don't worry; I've gotten it treated. I didn't want to, but right after we brought you in, Raye and Amy persuaded me to get some help. I did, by Dr. Yabumoto, and I feel a lot better. But most importantly, you're going to be OK." Serena was immediately silenced and casually smiled in relief. Right then and there, Andrew rushed in. "Serena? Are you OK?" Serena smiled, but not with the same eyes and features as before. She didn't have a crush on him anymore; she now liked/loved Darien, but she wasn't sure if she really WAS. She only remembered her past, but love is supposed to be built by time. But she was sure--she remembered everything about him in the past, and he was the perfect dream guy. The Prince felt the same way about his Princess, and loved her. They both were sure that their present selves are just as great as their past selves. "I'm better. Thanks Andrew," she answered. Darien was a bit jealous, just as before, but she quickly looked up with a smile that changed everything as she squeezed his hand. All of them were enjoying the long moments with Serena, now that she was back with the civilized world and people. Dr. Jino ended up giving some more medicines and injections to Serena to help her recover quicker. She didn't mind the pain, for it was far better than when she was stabbed by Zoicite. Eventually, Andrew and Dr. Jino had to leave, so the Scouts had a chance to talk about their Scout business. Serena held her head in her hands of pain as she asked, "Scouts, where's the Crescent Moon Wand? I don't have it." Darien answered, "Serena, don't worry. Right before you collapsed, you gave me your Crescent Moon Wand. And yes, we got the Imperium Silver Crystal. Queen Beryl doesn't have it." Serena struggled up as best as she can without falling back. "What about Zoicite? What about everything else? What about--" Darien assured her, "Serena, calm down. We'll all answer your questions one by one. OK, Zoicite injured my shoulder right when Sailorvenus, or Mina, joined the team. Now, about Zoicite; right after when the Scouts arrived and you collapsed, they got so angry that they totally toasted her. That's when we hurried you to the hospital." His smiled as he dropped a tear. Serena hugged him to comfort him, and it did work. All the Scouts, even Raye, replied, "Awww..." Serena and her Prince turned bright red. By then, Serena went back to almost her normal self, but this time, with Darien in the picture (pun). She started to question everything again, especially in all that she missed. But, she really needed to get a chunk of something out. "Raye, can I talk to you alone for a moment please?" Serena asked. She tried to smile at her friend as best as she could after just what happened. The other Scouts and Darien took the hint and left the room to somewhere else for a while. Raye stood next to her friend and asked, "What did you want me to talk about, Serena?" This was one of the first times that she talked her friend this nicely. Serena sat up on against her bed and started to explain. "OK Raye, you can spill it out now. I know that you've been saving up on this whole thing to blow it in my face. You still want to be with Darien, and I know that. You don't want to express all your jealousy at me, but I'm allowing you to. Please Raye, tell me your side on this whole thing; just spill out your feelings. It actually hurts me to see you not do that." Raye walked towards the edge of the bed as she formed tears in her eyes. "I do feel bad about Darien, yes. This thing happened so quickly that I didn't even get much of a chance to think about it, but in the past several days I did. Not only did I think about that, I was really worried about you. I hate to admit it Meatball Head, but I was deadly scared that I might lose you. No more fights, talks, and especially, no more Scouts leader Sailormoon, or Moon Princess. Now that I think about it, I can't be Scout leader, even if all circumstances open up to me. I'm not going to be as caring as you ever, Serena, but I'm really glad you're back. But in all cases Serena, Darien is rightfully yours, since it's your destiny. Why am I not jealous? I was, but right after I saw the outcomes, I immediately got over it. Darien wasn't really interested in me anyways, but I was in him. I still am, now only as a close friend." "But Raye, you knew Darien a lot longer than I did. Love only builds on time and friendship itself. I'd understand if you still want to go out with him, since I don't know many details about him." Raye smiled beautifully as she patted Serena's hand. "I can tell you about him, but we need his consent first. Serena, just do one thing for me though." "Anything, Raye," Serena answered. "When you're with him, keep him happy and care for him with all your heart. He means a lot to me, you and all the Scouts," she responded. "With all my heart," the Princess answered. Just then, Darien and the other Scouts came back in. "So. did you two have a good talk?" asked Lita. They both nodded. Maybe now all of them would actually respect each other more... * * * After about two more weeks, Serena was freed from the hospital, but was still weak. Darien, her friends, and parents (who were only notified of an accident, not the actual Sailormoon stuff) were there to help in every step of the way. Amy's mom, Dr. Anderson, was also helping a great deal. She helped with no trouble or cost; just like her own daughter. When Serena got better, she started to recover her normal life, except with one more thing. Her true love is now in the picture. He was with her all the time, and finally got to know her a lot better, and definitely fell deeply in love with each other again. They even shared their first kiss together! "Darien," she replied, when she almost fully recovered, "I--I never got a chance to ask you...do you just care for me because of our past?" Darien was shocked as he looked into her eyes for the millionth time in the past few weeks. "No, I love you because you're Serena Tsukino; the caring, beautiful, kind girl of my dreams. I've gotten to know you again recently, and I really regretted the way I teased you in the past." "And I regret me doing that too," she admitted. She looked through the window to the sun coming form her bedroom window onto the bed she was sitting up in. "I'm so glad to find you again." "Me too, my Princess," he smiled. They both leaned forward and shared a kiss. "Let the Moon Kingdom and our love last forever, Tuxedo Mask," she swore. "And for the Negaverse and all evil to perish from the face of this universe, Sailormoon," Darien pledged. "Serena." They shared another passionate kiss. May our destined lovers love each other for all life and eternity... The End!!!
