Poke'mon: Trainers of the future

Part 7: Trouble in Celedon City

Author's notes: The group of seven including Akane and Minh is mine.

Mr. Fuji spoke. “I guess, everything's back to normal now.” Sora and Keiichi stood next to him and asked, “What's

going on grandfather?” “I'm not sure.” “We have to erase Jenny's mind now,” said Makoto. “She can't know anything about the

power she just witnessed. Makoto erased her memory. “What happened?” asked Jenny.

“Thank you all for coming to rescue me,” thanked Mr. Fuji. All of a sudden a flute appeared. “Here Umi, I want you to

have this.” Umi took it and asked, “What is this exactly?” “It's a poke' flute. If you play it you can wake up sleeping Poke'mon.

It works on humans too.” “Thank you Mr. Fuji.” Umi started to play the flute. Everyone that Team Rocket had put to sleep

woke up. “What happened,” asked one. “I must've dosed off or something.”

Mr. Fuji took his grandchildren's hands. “We have to go now,” he said. Sora looked up at Flint and Umi and said

“Thank you for helping me.” “No problem!” answered Flint. Mr. Fuji teleported his family back to their house. “Team Rocket's

going to create their own world of darkness,” said Umi, with Flint and Makoto following behind her. “We have to stop them!!”

Flint and Makoto nodded in agreement. “So where are we headed next?” asked Flint as he squinted his eyes from the sun.

“We're on our way to Celadon City,” answered Umi, “to get a…a…” “A rainbow badge?” “Yeah, that's it.”

The trio finally arrived in Celadon City. “Wow, what a big place!!” exclaimed Umi. “Look at the poke' mart!!” “Wow,”

said Flint, “there must be a lot of stuff in there!” “Look! There's a game corner, the poke' center…and there's the gym!!!” They

all ran towards the gym in a hurry. They opened the door. It was very quiet. “Anyone here?” asked Flint and Umi. They all

walked in. “Hello??!!!” Yet again no response. Umi pulled a microphone out of nowhere and yelled

“HEEELLLLOOOOO!!!!!!????????” Finally there was a reply. The gym leader got up and yawned. “*Yawn* Oh, I'm sorry, I

must've….dozed off for a while. I'm Ivy. Anyway, who are my next challengers?” “We are!” exclaimed Flint and Umi in unison.

Makoto watched in silence as the great battle begun. Ivy threw out four poke'balls. “Himannattsu, Tangela, Rediba (also

from gold and silver version), Vileplume, go!” Flint reached for two poke'balls on his belt. “Ready Umi?” he asked. She nodded

her head yes. “Charmander, Bulbasaur,” she said, “Flamethrower and Leech Seed!” Flint called out his Poke'mon. “Pikachu,

Nidoran Female, Thunderbolt and Double Kick!” Charmander spit a flame of fire from its mouth at Himannattsu while Bulbasaur

shot its leach seed at Tangela.

“Himannattsu, Restrict attack! Tangela, Stun Spore!” commanded Ivy. Himannattsu shot vines out of its leaves and tried

to wrap them around Charmander while Tangela tried to stun Bulbasaur. Charmander's flamethrower burned Himannattsu's vines

and Bulbasaur became paralyzed by Tangela. “Bulbasaur,” said Umi, “you may be paralyzed, but you can still use your Leech

Seed attack. Go for it!” Bulbasaur did as told. Its leech seed stuck to Tangela and wrapped vines around it. The vines sucked up

its energy and gave it to Bulbasaur.

Charmander shot a ring of fire at Himannattsu. It engulfed the defenseless Poke'mon, causing it to stay in place, and fall

to the ground in admit of defeat. “Himannattsu!” cried Ivy. “Good try, return.” All of Tangela's energy was gone and it

finally fainted, exhausted. Ivy called it back and finished her battle with Flint. He called out the final attack for Nidoran

Female.

“Nidoran, Double Kick!” Nidoran swiftly zipped around Vileplume, jumped up in the air, and gave two big kicks. With a small

thud Vileplume fell to the ground. “Return Vileplume,” called Ivy. A beam of light shot out at Vileplume and it returned to its

poke'ball. Flint and Umi gave each other a high-five. “We did it!” exclaimed Flint. Ivy presented both victors with the rainbow

badge. “I present you two with the rainbow badge, in honor of your hard work.” Flint and Umi took their badges and thanked

Ivy.

Team Rocket went into the poke'mart to steal some money. “Do what we say or else!” yelled Andrew as he held up a

gun. The cashier raised his hands and answered, “Okay, okay. I'll do whatever you want just don't shoot me!” “I'm glad you see

things our way. Now, hand over all the money.” “Uh, yes sir.” The cashier gave a big sack of money to Team Rocket and

headed for the door. “Okay, I gave you what you wanted, so I'm just…going to go now,” said the cashier scared. He ran out

the door in a hurry. “Hey, wait!” yelled Andrew. Anne pulled him back and said, “There's no point in going after that weakling.

Let him cry for help, they'll never find us.” “You're right.”

Anne and Andrew went up all the flights of stairs, into every store, and stole all the money. Anne pulled out a crystal

shaped like an R and said, “Now to take over this point!” She threw the crystal into the floor and it started growing. Team

Rocket disappeared to take over their next point.

Outside the poke'mart stood Flint, Umi, and Makoto. “There's screaming coming from in there!” exclaimed Umi. “It's

Team Rocket's doing!” “Come on!” yelled Makoto, urging Flint and Umi to follow him. They quickly ran up the first flight of

stairs. They saw a woman and in unison asked, “What happened here?” “Team Rocket stole all of the money from the

poke'mart!” exclaimed the woman. “You must hurry and get out of here,” said Flint. “Something terrible is about to happen,

there's no time to explain. Just trust me.” The woman did as told. The trio went up all four floors and warned everyone else.

The poke'mart started to shake. “Oh, no! The crystal's growing!” exclaimed Makoto. “We've got to hurry!” Everybody

on the last floor started running down the stairs except for a group of seven. “What are you waiting for?” asked Umi. “Hurry up

and get out of here while there's still time!” “We're not going anywhere,” said one. “We're not afraid.” “Please trust me, you've

got to leave now!” “Tell us what's going on.” “I told you before, there's no time to explain. Don't be stubborn, hurry up and

leave!” “I told you we're not going anywhere.” “But you….” “We're not going and that's that!” “Fine, have it your way!” The

crystal got bigger and tore a whole in the floor beneath them.

“What in the world is that thing?” asked another from the group of seven. “Is it what you were warning us about?”

“Yes,” answered Umi, “it is. You must hurry and leave now, please!” “But why?” “Because you'll get trapped in here. That's a

crystal and it will….” Part of the crystal engulfed whom Umi was talking to. “We warned you all to leave and this is the reason

why,” said Flint. “Now what are we going to do?” “There's got to be a way to get Minh out of that crystal!” yelled the girl of the

group of seven. “What can we do? We can't just leave him there!” “I don't know, but we've got to figure out something!”

Minh could feel the crystal taking his energy. He fell to his knees. “Get me out of here.” He said weakly. “Please, help

me..Akane.” Minh fell helplessly to the ground. “What can we do?” asked Umi. “What can we do? There's got to be a way, but

what is it?” Tears welled up in her eyes. Akane (The girl in the group of seven) started crying too. “If Minh stays the group

stays!” she said, a tear falling from her cheek. Akane and the other five ran towards the crystal. Umi wanted to stop them, but

Makoto pulled her back. “Let them be Umi,” he said, “they know what they're doing.”

When the group of six (Akane and the other five) entered the crystal it started to break apart. Everyone gasped in

amazement. “What is happening?” asked Akane. “The crystal, it's breaking!” “Is it possible that their compassion for Minh is

what did this?” asked Umi. “Do you think that somehow the crystal can react to feelings?” “I'm not sure,” answered Makoto.

“It's a pretty good guess though.”

The group of six became a group of seven again. Everyone exited the building and set off for their departure. “Well, I

guess we'll be seeing you guys…and girl around,” said Minh. “Thank you for warning us, though we were so rude and didn't pay

any attention.” “No problem,” answered Flint. “Thanks to you we now at least know how we might be able to stop Team

Rocket.” “Well, we've got to be on our way.” “Yeah. Hope we meet again someday. Take care of yourselves.” As the two

groups leave the sun sets and the wind blows softly.
